"God is able to do anything He pleases with one ordinary person fully consecrated to Him"- Henry Blackaby and Claude King
Many people use January 1st as a stepping stone to something they want to commit to, whether it is: Stop smoking, stop drinking soft drinks, stop this, stop that. I want to do something different, I want to START putting all my trust in God, for I know he will protect me. Another focus of mine will be to put God in charge of my heart, for I have never wholly given him it all. I want to use all my talents, and my time to learn more about Jesus Christ, in which I urge to do.
In the book of Exodus, it is for told to us that "we shall place no gods before Him." In my case, I do that way too often. I place unimportant things like: sports, video games, cell phone, the computer, etc., ahead of God. By doing this I create my own problem, being satisfying to Satan. My new year's resolution in a nut shell, is to put God above all else, and let him be in charge of my heart. So I leave you with this:
"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need." Matthew 6:33
